I'm overwhelmed by this scene and the story behind. You can always smell the love of your mother from the picture. This is a lovely link between you two. Best to you and your mother!
This photo and the story about your Mother's knitting has brought tears to my eyes. Thank you for sharing these lovely images and stories with us. The story of the knitting reminds me of my Amma (Grandmother) she used to knit by candlelight (we had many electrical outages at the time) and tell her Grandchildren stories, about when she was little like us. She was blind for the last 15 years of her life...and knitted mittens and socks for her Grandchildren. She always said that the electric outages so frequent when I was growing up trained her for the inevitable...her Father and two of her brothers became blind in their later years.
and obviously loves...
ReplyDeleteYour art and on-the-page gallery is stunning. I love your detail, and the opportunity to view your work.
