Red Lanterns

It rained during Jia Li's wedding.  But her old uncle told her this was a good omen and that her married life would be lucky.  Her mother, certainly hoped this was true.

~posting from Chiang Mai where the newly weds have joined us. They are radiant.

  6. I have been following your blog and admiring your beautiful and unique paintings for quite some time. The stories to go with them are magical. I was very happy and interested to see an actual photo of you and your daughter! I was so surprised to see that you were blonde. I guess I imagined you being Asian. I just re-read your biography and I didn't realize that you were third generation American living in Tawian. Your name of "ming" confused me. Is your husband or either of your parents Asian? I'm sorry if I am being nosy, I am just so intrigued by your very colorful life. You and your daughter look so radiant on the wedding photos! I love your dresses--so exquisit! Congrats to all of you!
